“Sometimes letting things go is an act of far greater power than defending or hanging on”.
One of the most challenging things in life is knowing that letting go is incredibly difficult —when to let go of a job, a relationship, a belief, a repeating thought, a situation. No matter if we cling to worries about the future, or if we keep replaying the mistakes of the past again and again in our mind—it can be quite painful when you have difficulties to move on.
The desperate attempt to hold on to the things that were familiar to us limits our capability to experience happiness and joy in the present moment. Life is all about continuous change.
This means to us that no matter how hard we try to keep things as they are, we will sooner or later be confronted with relentless changes, whether we like it or not. However, as soon as we cease our attempts to own and control the environment we are living in, we open up ourselves to new possibilities.
Resistance and fear will try to tell us a whole lot of stories about why we should be grateful and stay put, but if there is an a nudge and a quiet inner voice that keeps nagging and telling us it’s time to go, then it’s time to release and move on. Even though letting go may not immediately make any logical sense, listening to that voice can bring new, fulfilling experiences.
The phase in my life has taught me that life is all about flow and movement, and that truly living, means that we are constantly changing and evolving. Living means being called to practice detachment to make room for new energy.
If we wait long enough and dismiss our deep truth, life will make sure that truth comes out one way or another. Events and circumstances will happen that will cause us to move, and sometimes cause us to move at a rate that we did not expect or even planned.
Letting go is never an easy one, there are ways to curtail the effect of transition if we are mindful. Some of the lessons and insights I learned during this transition that helped me embrace letting go. These can apply to any situation that requires letting go:
- Accept and take the responsibility of the situation as it is.
- Take inventory of all the perks and sit in gratitude
- Embrace the alone time often
- Listen to your intuition and heal yourself
- Indulged in a self-care routine and opt for activities that felt nourishing to your soul
- Surround yourself with people you love and with whom you feel safe
- Travel and welcome the energy of newness
- Embrace the unknown
- Lastly , get comfortable with patience and surrender
At the end, we should all feel worthy of feeling fulfilled and nourished. Sometimes, we just grow apart from that person, thing, or circumstance. It’s that simple. it is always about experience and experiencing life right where you are and where you are nudged to go.
The biggest lesson for me was, do not wait for life to force you. See the video in below link how it is so important to be able to let go: moving on helps us to let happiness and joy in.
it’s okay to say goodbye and still feel love and gratitude
Always remember that Nothing is ever wasted. Every experience has a meaning in your life.
