As part of the ongoing preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, the security authorities in the country will hold an exercise entitled 'Watan' on 15-17 November 2021, with the aim of testing preparedness and integration of roles to ensure a safe hosting of sporting events and activities in the State of Qatar.

The 'Watan' Exercise exemplifies the integration of the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of the various stakeholders in the country, including ministries, institutions, and military and civil bodies.

Military forces from some sister and friendly countries are participating in the 'Watan' exercise with different and diverse tasks in the interest of the local authorities to benefit from the experiences of other countries and exchange security expertise.
