SC Volunteer Team is launching a programme called Host a Volunteer. The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ Host a Volunteer Programme aims to connect international volunteers with local families to promote the country’s exceptional culture and hospitality.
The FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™ organizers will invite more than 5,000 international volunteers to take part in the first mega sporting event of its size in the region. The tournament will take place from 21 November – 18 December 2022. Volunteers will have the opportunity to dedicate their time to the successful delivery of the FIFA World Cup™. In return, the organizers aim to ensure that all volunteers have a safe, affordable and comfortable place to stay while performing their duties.
Every FIFA World Cup™ has its own unique aspects that reflect the host country, with Qatar 2022 focused on being a family-friendly World Cup and one that reflects Arab renowned hospitality. We hope that citizens and residents of Qatar, as well as existing FIFA volunteers, will open the doors of their homes for the duration of the tournament to accommodate a volunteer.
Later this year, the FIFA Arab Cup Qatar 2021™ will take place from 30 November – 18 December, and the tournament aims to include 300 international volunteers. With this in mind, it is a great opportunity to launch this programme to showcase the heart of the Volunteer Programme.
