In the summer of 2021, Qatar Youth Power held their first ever conference online, garnering over 1200 students, 5 partners and sponsors, and 30 press releases including features in The
Peninsula, I Love Qatar, Gulf Times, Qatar Tribune, and Time Out Doha. It brought together notable personalities including Mr. Khalifa Al Haroon (Founder of I Love Qatar), Mr. Hamad Al
Amari (The Qatari Guy), and guests from the World Innovation Summit for Education, THIMUN Qatar, DEAP Qatar, Doha Women Forum, and Qatar Foundation.

The following year, the QYP Conference 2022 took place in-person at the Qatar National Library. This event involved 12 guest speakers, over 100 attendees, 10 partners, and 10 sponsors including Qatar Islamic Bank, Decathlon Qatar, Rayyan Water, Paul Qatar, and Curia Business Group. Following overwhelming support from the local community, QYP will be hosting their third conference this September 2023 in-person.

Natalie Magness, aged 17 at the time of founding, said her main inspiration for the idea stemmed from her appreciation for the country that gave her so much, from a quality education
to her piano studies at Qatar Music Academy, and the desire to create something that would empower others to make a positive impact in the community. Currently a penultimate-year
student at University College London, she says QYP is the first and only fully student-initiated and led conference in Qatar to develop, empower and connect the youth of Qatar through
learning from the nation’s brightest leaders and change-makers. In addition to their annual conference, QYP also hosts other events and programs such as the World Youth Skills Day and
International Youth Day events with the Hilton Hotel Doha in 2021.

Aanya Srivastava, a high school senior at Park House English School and a lead director at QYP, said ‘’My favorite part about QYP is seeing young individuals motivated and inspired to make a
difference within their community!’’ When asked what she thinks makes the QYP team so special, Rebecca Magness, a student at Doha British School and a lead director for QYP, said
‘’We have a strong connection and chemistry with each other to always work together and communicate in a simple and easy way.’’
